Welcome to Wickwood! We are a long established Inn in historic Saugatuck, Michigan, intent on our guests enjoying the best of all worlds—a balance between the taste of a boutique hotel and the warmth of home cooked complimentary dining of a B&B. Whether you’re celebrating an anniversary, birthday, interested in a quiet relaxing Getaway or a fun filled active vacation everyone at The Inn wants to help you achieve that. Ideally located just on the edge of downtown Saugatuck’s Shops, galleries, wine tasting rooms, museums restaurants and boating tours are just a stroll away. Guest rooms each have a distinctive theme with treasure troves of antiques, original artwork and sculpture and decorator fabrics with, of course, private baths. They have a sophisticated flair yet are warmly romantic to enrich the ambiance year round. Guests are encouraged to enjoy three Living Rooms, The Gazebo and Garden Patio throughout the day and evening. The Inn is owned by Julee Rosso co-author of the Silver Palate Cookbook and her Husband Bill Miller. Everyone at Wickwood is passionate about good food! Lucky enough to be amidst a large farm and orchard area, the seasons are followed with locally grown organic ingredients for it’s menus.
Julee is a champion of slow food cooking and the inn is anchored by an ambitious farm-to-table philosophy. Everyday guests are pampered with complimentary Evening Wine Buffet to linger over, Afternoon and Later Night Sweets and a Champagne Farmstead Brunch. Breakfast menus may include Fresh Berries, Tennessee Smoked Bacon and Caramelized Onion Strata, Blueberry French Toast with Spiced Blueberry Sauce, Roasted Asparagus Frittata with Warm Tomato Salsa, Baked Country Ham, Warm Pecan Sticky Buns, Berry Salad, or Fresh Peach Cake. Of course there is always homemade granola, juices, yogurt, coffee and teas. At dusk the Evening Wine Buffet includes savories such as Artisan Cheeses and Salumi, Soup Shots, Bruchetta, Mushroom and Roasted Garlic Flatbread, Olives in a Cheddar Crust, or Shrimp & Crab Crostini. Sweets continue to surprise Afternoon and evening. Wickwood Inn is located in the charming village of Saugatuck, nestled on the Dunes of Lake Michigan. Long a center for the arts, beginning with the Ox-box School of Art it is ranked fifth in the U.S . of American Style magazines top twenty art destinations in America. Now home too over 30 galleries, the Saugatuck Chamber Music Festival, Jazz Festival and Bluegrass Festival, Mason Street Warehouse and The Red Barn theaters, The Waterfront Film Festival, 125 shops, numerous wineries and tasting rooms, and four championship golf courses. With the broad sandy beaches of Lake Michigan close by, boat tours, fresh water fishing, sailing kayaking, canoeing, and power boating is popular along with nature walks, bike trails and every outdoor sport imaginable. Wickwood is open year round. All rates include a complimentary Evening Wine Buffet with lavish hors d'oeuvres for lingering, a Morning Champagne Brunch, and Afternoon and Late Night Sweets.
