Julee Rosso's latest book is Fresh Start, published in 1996. She is also the author of Great Good Food and the co-author of The Silver Palate Cookbook, The Silver Palate Good Times Cookbook, and The New Basics Cookbook, which together have over six million copies in print. In 1986 The Silver Palate Good Times Cookbook won the 1985 Duncan Hines/IACP award for the “Best Entertaining Cookbook of the Year.” In 1992 The Silver Palate Cookbook was inducted into the James Beard Cookbook Hall of Fame.

Julee Rosso Fresh StartIn 1977 Rosso co-founded The Silver Palate retail, catering and manufacturing business in New York City. They sold the business in 1988. For six years she served as co-food editor on Parade Magazine's column “Simply Delicious.”

Julee has appeared on many television and radio programs around the country, including NBC's “Today Show,” ABC's “Good Morning, America,” and “20/20.” Her contribution to the specialty food business has been recognized through the prestigious awards of the Ocean Spray Cranberry Salute to American Food, Business Woman of the Year for Gourmet Takeout by the New York Small Business Administration, as well as the Pacesetter Award from the Roundtable for Women in Foodservice and the Metropolitan Home Design 100 Award. She has been inducted into the “Who's Who” of American Food and Beverage by the James Beard Society.

Julee conducts cooking classes and lectures at numerous universities and symposiums throughout the United States, including Stanford University Business School, Women's Economic Development Association, New York University, The Symposium of American Cuisines, The American Institute of Wine and Food Conference, the Smithsonian Institute, and The Wharton School of Business and was the keynote speaker at the IACP 1990 Convention. She is a business consultant and has sat on the boards of the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade, The Culinary Institute of America, and the American Institute of Wine and Food.
